Joan Andrews is the principal of Information Arts. She graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University with a BFA in Graphic Design, and began her career in the New York City advertising industry. She then worked with architect I. M. Pei, producing print materials and signage for his world-renowned buildings.

After moving to the San Francisco Bay area, she continued art directing in computer-aided publishing, mastering the latest in the newly developing industry of microcomputer print technologies. She founded Andrews Design in 1986, and since then has focused almost entirely on advancing her skills as a highly-experienced art director and designer of interactive products.

Joan's clients include many Silicon Valley hardware and software manufacturers such as Adobe, Cisco, Apple Computer and Sun Microsystems. Drawing on the talents of colleagues in the creative industry, including graphic designers, programmers, animators and production artists, Information Arts offers comprehensive services to its clients.
